A PERSONAL POSTCARD from Georgia. X
Wowzers, can you believe it's been 21 whole years of STATE of GEORGIA? Time really does fly! Over these two incredible decades, my focus has always been on nurturing and growing this brand. But lately, especially in the past year, I've found myself shifting my priorities towards my family and my own well-being.
Last year, I hit a wall creatively, overwhelmed by anxiety and struggling with my health. It was then that my beautiful partner, Albert, made a suggestion that initially sounded crazy: take a season off! I looked at him like he had lost his mind, but after a week of stewing over it, I realised he might be onto something. Stepping off the fashion treadmill, as I like to call it, gave me a chance to breathe. After 19 years of nonstop designing, it was a scary leap, but it was something I had to do. And you know what? It turned out to be an incredible decision. It opened doors to new opportunities and adventures I never expected, and I got to spend precious time with my family, which was long overdue. This break also gave me the space to reflect on the future of our brand, reigniting my passion and inspiration to create your future treasures.
So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your patience and unwavering support. I'm genuinely looking forward to dressing you and embracing the exciting journey that lies ahead as we celebrate 21 amazing years in business with the STATE of GEORGIA!
